First Digital Catalog
This image was the cover of my first digitally photographed catalog back in 1993-94. The assignment was to photograph 200 framed art pieces to put in a catalog for hotels, hospitals and interior design firms.
The digital camera was a JVC analog to digital signal capturing device yielding a 6 megapixel image. It took between 4 and 7 minutes to generate one exposure back then. Imagine the lighting, setup and one frame image at a time.
The interesting thing is I had to use Photoshop's pen tool on each frame individually to create a clipping path and as a result, I became rather proficient using the pen tool.
